We invite you to contribute to our
store of knowledge about local food

Consumer Survey

The harsh experiences of COVID revealed some dangerous gaps in our capacity to feed our community when outside sources are disrupted. Bringing together people and ideas around how we can supplement food supplies from local sources is a prudent and visionary action.

The survey should only take 5 minutes to complete. Opening the survey indicates your consent to participate.

We will be using your answers to develop an action plan for moving our community forward

towards greater food independence.

The information you share will be gathered up and aggregated – meaning you can be completely honest as “aggregation” makes your answers anonymous. Only the research assistant will see the raw data.

Producer Survey

Our aim is to identify barriers to local food production and consumption in order to identify practical solutions and recognize areas we can work together as producers, retailers and consumers.

Food Waste Survey

Given that in B.C. 29% of the contents of the average household bin is avoidable food waste and that producers surplus and imperfects are generally thrown away, food waste has a real and significant impact on our local food security.
